The AWSRA is hitting the ground running this season. We have planned introductory level 4 courses for Cobram, Wangaratta and Myrtleford early in February plus a course will be held in Albury starting on the 13th February and continuing on 14th, 20th and 21st February. These nights will start at 7:00 PM and conclude at 9:00 PM.
At this stage the courses will be held at the Commercial Club however we are waiting on confirmation from the club. The cost of the Albury course will be $50 and this covers course books and a law book.
To undertake the course, participants will need to have completed the online laws of the game course which can be found at http://laws.myfootballclub.com.au
Participants will also need to register via the FFA Education system. The link to register is http://education-ffa.sportingpulse.com/Entry/?EID=15821. Can I please encourage prospective participants to register their interest before undertaking the online laws of the game course.
2017 has opened up many opportunities for locals to become referees. We are in discussions with FNSW and other branches within the Riverina to create a pathway for members, especially juniors, to be indentified and have the opportunity to officiate at state titles.
Also, due to a restructure of FFV’s fixturing, there are now more opportunities for members to officiate in the NPLV due to more games being played in the local area.
It is my request that you please advertise these courses to your club members and your wider supporters.
